That depends on your point of view.

My opinion on these matters has had a great effect on the type of equipment
that the friendly local computer store in my town carries, for example.

And since that's where I do my "computer shopping", and where many others around
here do theirs as well (especially the ones who may be asking me for help in
the future), that's sufficient for me.

Just like Linux in general, frankly.  I will assist anyone in this area who
wants to convert their operation from Windows, on either a paid or volunteer
basis depending on the circumstances.  However, there are some people who ask
about it and decide against doing this for one reason or another -- I'm not a
salesman.  I won't help people who don't wish to be helped.

Just like anything else.  You can always find reasons not to do anything if
you really didn't want to do it anyway.
