Good point.  See attached log for the nv driver.

I'll guess that the EDID in your display has bogus information about
its dimensions.

So now what do I do?

Changing the monitor def to "generic lcd 1280x1024" in system-config-display doesn't help.

Is there a workaround? Is there a way to directly query the EDID? Is there a permanent fix?

And is there a way to view virtual consoles on digital out?
