Depends how nice the scoring rule syntax is. And it's fine unless yu want to
change the scoring system; then you need to refilter your email.

True, but sorting on a score doesn't matter _until_ the user is reading
the email...

But are tied to the mail transport. I know which one I think is easier
to change.

For another straw herring, supposing one wanted different scores at
different times? If it's in the mail client you can switch and have it
resort your email display. If the transport does it you need to redeliver
your email...
