Dear Fedora User Community,
I feel like a total idiot by asking such a question but...
I can't connect my Fedora Core 6 to an ADSL internet connection. There's no
problem using a Cable internet connection since I don't need to enter a
username or password,
but when I want to connect to the internet using ADSL, I must verify my
Username and Password.
In what menu can I go about doing this? Or how should I go about doing this?
I went into: Applications -> Settings-Modules -> Internet & Network ->
Network Settings
and I set the IP Address, Netmask, Default Gateway -and in the Advanced
Settings I filled in the Description, Broadcast, and Gateway. That was all
set in the Network Interfaces tab. And in the Routes tab, I had to set the
Default Gateway once again. What am I missing?
Is this not the correct place to enter the settings for an ADSL internet
connection?
Where should/can I enter the Username and Password so the ISP can verify my
account?
Sincerely,
Ryan (FC6 User)
