I got a little further today. I started with the kernel option "noapic" and
acpi in BIOS disabled. I was able to install FC6, but it does give me lots of
errors at boot.

Well, it was a frustrating experience.
In short, this main board is a disaster. I'm unfortunate that I bought two of
those. I spend in total about two whole days to make it work and still have a
non-workable system. It means that I'm looking for two new 775 main boards
and looking for some good suggestions.
Is there a database where I can find out which main boards work well with FC ?
(I don't like to buy two new ones and have the same experience again).

Marcel
