I had to deal with this mobo some weeks ago trying to get it running with FC6,  
and after a very painfull road finnaly I could change it for a intel p965 
based mobo.

The trouble seems to be the JMicron chipset. This has a SATA RAID option that 
is not recognized by the linux kernel. Another issue, is that once U get it 
finnaly running under linux, you don't have SMP working ( with Pentium "D" or 
Core2 Duo based processors).

IIRC, you have to change on the BIOS the ACPI to off and disable the RAID. 
After that, try booting the linux kernel with the options:  
acpi=off all-generic-ide
