I would agree with you IF those same hardware providers actually DID
get off their asses and write the drivers. But they are not.

You mean they aren't writing them for Linux... But they do write them for an OS that provides a stable interface definition and allows distribution of the driver along with the OS. Coincidence?


"stable interface definition" and distribution terms have nothing to do with it, it's just about money. If Linux was installed on 96% of the world's computers, Logitech would provide the drivers even if the interface changed daily!
