Leaving aside the speculation as to why the seller isn't helpful at
getting past the password prompt, boot with either the FC6 rescue cd or
the first FC6 install cd (enter "linux rescue" at the initial
installation prompt). This effective logs you on as root in single user
mode. After asking several questions regarding language and such you'll
get a chance to mount the current installation under /mnt/sysimage. Do
that. When you get a shell prompt chroot to /mnt/sysimage (check the
chroot man page if you have any questions). You should then be able to
explore the system with no problems and set passwords, etc.
