I'm running FC6 on a Dual Xeon with Intel ESB2 IDE SATA chip with only one SATA drive. I'm compiling 2.6.20 kernel and I get ...

"mount: could not find filesystem '/dev/root'"
....
.....

I have compiled in AHCI SATA driver (assuming this is the driver for the above chipset). 

I think udev may have something to do with it. Anyone has any hints?
