I've got little respect for Western Digital, and I'm sure the reason they dropped their warranty down to just 12 months was because they expect their drives to fail that quickly. I had three go dead in a row. I do wonder how many people really do return faulty drives. Sure some will put up with them, others will just decide now's the time to buy that huge new drive.
