Same type of drive?  I've got little respect for Western Digital, and
I'm sure the reason they dropped their warranty down to just 12 months
was because they expect their drives to fail that quickly.  I had three
go dead in a row.

I do wonder how many people really do return faulty drives.  Sure some
will put up with them, others will just decide now's the time to buy
that huge new drive.  There's got to be plenty of people who don't like
the idea of sending a drive with personal, confidential, or compromising
files away.
