As a straight Perl port, it's decent.  But as someone else mentioned, I really
can't recommend CygWin (http://www.cygwin.com) enough.  It's a tremendous
toolchest of Unix/Linux apps built for Windows, and has one of the best
and simplest installation and update interfaces I've seen.  It almost makes
Windows tolerable.
