But the machine doing the streaming decides what songs you get to hear. I used to have a system with a FM radio card in it that I would stream one station over the local LAN to a machine on my workbench in the basement - I could not pick up the station down there. (It does tie up a bit of processor power encoding an audio source - not a problem when streaming .mp3 files.)
