But have you tried turning off them, one at a time?  Disable Java, try
again.  Next, try it without JavaScript, instead.  Next, try without
CSS, instead.  Those three, in particular, are the most likely ones to
be a drag with *SOME* websites.  AnimGIFs and Flash are other pains.

Disabling javascript has an immediate effect in Gmail and
dictionary.com, the ones i'm using now.

It gets worse after sometime of use. The browser must be restarted to
come back to the default slowness.

Tested in FC5 and FF 1.5.0.8
