Maybe, I got TB 1.5.0.8 with my last yum update run. I can easily get
rid of TB 1.5.0.8 but I need to find the "old" 1.5.0.7 rpm which
apparently is no longer in the yum repositories.
I has some trouble with 1.5.0.8 too, but my problem was different.
Thunderbird just wouldn't connect to the mail servers. Pressing the "Get
Mail" button did absolutely nothing.
had a similar problem once after a thunderbird upgrade.
solution: Go to your profile folder and delete all .msf files (summary
files). (or, delete just those whose mailbox you are having a problem
getting mail) and restart thunderbird.
My problem is with filtering. Every piece of mail which is flagged as junk is
not deleted and I can't deleted them manually. Deleting .msf seemed to help in
the beginning but the problem is back again. I'll have to revert to TB 1.5.0.7.
