I thought I had sorted the mismatch problem by installing kernel-devel for the i586 - how wrong can you be :-) OK - I did as you said, and I'm pleased to report that the gspcav1 driver is now working. My new webcam is found and used by ekiga. For the sake of the archives, the PCLine PCL-100K webcam is reported as 'Pixart PAC207-BCA'. Thanks again, Anne
