First off, the livna drivers are missing GL_EXT_compiled_vertex_array which breaks a few things, including cedega. Can't have that! I need my City of Heroes/Villains! :) Also with the livna drivers a weird anomoly: RandR loads and initializes but xdpyinfo does not show it. So head on over to the Nvidia Forums, read the announcement (because the main driver download page has not been updated yet) and download the driver. Install it manually, but hey, don't forget to yum install xorg-x11-server-sdk.x86_64 first! Man that one took me an hour to figure out!
That's been in the sticky post on the forum since just after FC5 came out (months ago).
Ok, got it built and got it installed. City of Heroes/Villains works again, whew! Try desktop effects: Still no RAND extension! What the ... ?? -> grep -i randr /var/log/Xorg.0.log (==) RandR enabled (II) Initializing built-in extension RANDR -> grep -i aiglx /var/log/Xorg.0.log
aiglx isn't something that would appear in the X log.
nadda (: -> xdpyinfo | grep -i randr nadda :( Hmmm... This system was a FC5 UPGRADE from media rather than fresh install. AMD64 X2 4200 2GB RAM GForce 7600GT ASUS A8N-SLI MB Any ideas?
Its not really clear what problem you're trying to solve, other than grepping for things. Are you running into a functional problem that leads you to believe that you need to find randr? -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ L.
