If the problem still exists, try to set the AGP speed to 4x or 2x in your BIOS. Not all BIOSs allow you to do this. You could also try compiling the nvidia drivers to use AGP 4x or 2x. I can't remember exactly how to do this, but if you search the forum at nvnews.net you should be able to figure it out.
Or try disabling AGP altogether as a quick test by setting NvAGP to 0 in xorg.conf.
