Yes, just edit $releasever to 5 in /etc/yum.repos.d/
fedora-core.repo
fedora-extras.repo
fedora-updates.repo
and do a
yum update
and see what happens. I have done this on a couple of remote boxes now
with good results, but note they were headless so there were no X11 and
above (ie, KDE, Gnome) packages involved.
