Re: Setting up NTP for multicast client service

Opps, I forgot a few things:

multicastclient                       # listen on default 224.0.1.1
restrict 224.0.1.1 mask 255.255.255.255 nomodify notrap

mcast rides on top of unicast, so you will have to allow the unicast address  of the server
along with the mcast address of 224.0.1.1.

but it's not syncing up.

Also... anyone have any experience using a USB GPS mouse (like an
Earthmate) as a clock source on a server?

Thanks,

-Philip

This is a good question for the Usenet NTP list,  comp.protocols.time.ntp
