I had to remove libnotify and gnutls, disable the developement depot and reinstall libnotify and gnutls.

try manually deleting /usr/bin/ximian-connector-setup-2.6 and
re-installing evolution-connector. If that doesn't work then completely
remove any trace of evolution-connector and re-install it.
