Nope. It was installed using the download from the Spambayes 
site. I remember having the same issue with this box (my office 
machine), and I managed to get it going, but I can't remember 
what I did - aargh ;-) I seem to remember updating Python, but I 
tried that on the home box, and it didn't work. It may have 
something to do with having installed the beta version of 
Spambayes first, I thought I'd removed the Beta version 
completely and reinstalled the stable version - as far as I can 
tell, the install just places the python scripts in /usr/lib - 
I'm still looking into that. Maybe some lib gets installed 
that's not functioning correctly - I don't know, just guessing. 
I'll keep working on it. I've installed Spambayes the same way 
(the stable version) on multiple distros, including multiple 
versions of Fedora, for the past couple of years, so I don't 
think that's the problem.
