Today... Maybe they will update eventually.  Ours was just
done recently but I have to say it is an improvement.

Evolution has it's own calendar and alarms.  The exchange version
is only important for me because I have to track changes made
via outlook in other parts of the company.

And everyone who wants popup reminders can have them.

Agreed, there should be an intermediate library that dynamically
loads the reminder hook if available, but you need some obvious way
to know if you should expect the reminders to work or not.  Hmmm...
if you click on the clock and drop down the calendar it shows your
local appointments set in evolution but doesn't show anything from
exchange.
