remote X11 apps do not display properly

Hi All,

I have Fedora 12 running on my Sunblade 2500 with XVR-100 (Radeon chipset) graphics card. It's working pretty well except a couple of things.

1. When the server boots, the screen is garbled, and you can't read anything, until it starts the Xserver, and then everything is fine. It's also garbled when removing "rhgb" from the append line in silo.conf. It's not a big deal, but it would be nice to see the startup status.

2. When I run any X11 app (like xterm), it gets lines all over the display and you can't see any text in the windows. I export the DISPLAY, and use "ssh -X" when calling the app. Any app running locally, displays fine.

Thanks for any help.

-Tony
