the fix to make partitioning work doesnt seem to like some old partition 
labels.  if you boot into rescue mode and run 

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdX bs=512 count=1 

where X is each drive  you should then have no problems doing auto 
partitioning

note you will want to add "console=ttyS0" to silo when you install if using a 
serial console.   you will also need to use the serial console post install to 
either install NetworkManager or enable the network service  to have working 
networking


If you want to customise the install at all you will need to append vnc 
Anaconda does a minimal install with default partitioning when doing a serial 
console install.
