GAP package renaming

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi all,

When we initially packaged GAP and a few of its packages, we followed the Debian naming conventions.  I now think that was a mistake.  I would like to rename a few of the packages before we add any more.  In particular, I would like to do this:

gap-Browse => gap-pkg-browse
gap-character-tables => gap-pkg-ctbllib
gap-io => gap-pkg-io
gap-sonata => gap-pkg-sonata
gap-table-of-marks => gap-pkg-tomlib

Since the GAPDoc and xgap packages contain binaries of the same names, I propose leaving them with their existing names.

Does anybody have any objections to this plan?  Thanks,
