Either it makes sense for a package to have a fixed uid/gid or not. There is nothing in between, and all fedora-usermgmt does is ship the packages as random uid allocating pushing any possible problem with needed fixed uids to the users. And please don't start again with predictable vs fixed uid. If an admin really wants a "predictable" uid on his systems for daemon foo he can useradd -u 666 foo before installing a the package. -- Axel.Thimm at ATrpms.net
