If you know their exact names ..., why not also %ghost them?

But there is the question of whether log-files (and others below /var)
shall be deleted upon package removal rsp. upon package installation at
all ... I think there is a "grey zone".

On one hand, you often don't want to loose your logs just because you
had to temporarily remove a package during an update (make them %
config .. ?) on the other hand, probably everybody having upgraded a
Linux system or having used Linux over longer period is fighting with
stray logs having accumulated (and other files below /var)
