[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi all,

find below the list of topics that are likely to come up in the next
FESCo meeting that scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday at 18:00 UTC in
#fedora-extras on irc.freenode.org.

> /topic FESCO-Meeting -- FESCo changes

FYI: Part of this topic: Elect a new chair. I'm doing the job for one
year and it's IMHO time for me to leave and let one of the others handle
it to get some new ideas into the game. I'll remain in FESCo for now.

> /topic FESCO-Meeting -- EPEL -- mmcgrath, dgilmore -- status update
> /topic FESCO-Meeting -- EPEL -- mmcgrath, dgilmore -- EPEL doesn't really lift of -- what do?
> /topic FESCO-Meeting -- EPEL -- mmcgrath, dgilmore -- open elep to sponsors and people with 5 packages or more -- why wasn't that announced properly?
> /topic FESCO-Meeting -- Opening Core -- rdieter, jeremy, warren -- FESCo future? Deadlock? [WWW] https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-advisory-board/2007-January/msg00003.html)
> /topic FESCO-Meeting -- Opening Core -- jeremy, warren -- how to actually do the merge (sponsership and review issues)
> /topic FESCO-Meeting -- Encourage co-maintainership -- c4chris
> /topic FESCO-Meeting -- MISC -- firefox updates in stable often breaks quite some packages (galeon, liferia, ...); do we need some kind of task force that steps up to rebuild the stuff?
> /topic FESCO-Meeting -- MISC -- disallow cvs-import for everything but the initial import?
> /topic FESCO-Meeting -- MISC -- "what do we want like to see in the approved-message in a review bug" -- [WWW] https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-maintainers/2006-December/msg00214.html
> /topic FESCo-Meeting -- MISC -- the "syslog-ng patent problems" [WWW] https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-maintainers/2007-January/msg00015.html
> /topic FESCo-Meeting -- MISC -- kernel-naming [WWW] https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-devel-list/2007-January/msg00581.html
> /topic FESCo meeting -- Packaging Committee Report -- spot, abadger1999, rdieter, tibbs, scop

I haven't seen any reports from the PC to the list yet.

> /topic FESCo meeting -- Maintainer Responsibility Policy -- bpepple
> /topic FESCo meeting -- Free discussion around Fedora Extras

The meeting rules can be found at:
http://www.fedoraproject.org/wiki/Extras/Schedule/MeetingGuidelines

You want something to be discussed? Send a note to the list in reply to
this mail and I'll add it to the schedule (I can't promise we will get
to it tomorrow, but we'll most likely will if we don't run out of time).
You can also propose topics in the meeting while it is in the "Free
discussion around Fedora Extras" phase.

If your name/nick is on above list please update the status on the
Extras schedule pages in the wiki ahead of the meeting. That way all the
other FESCo members and interested contributors know what up ahead of
the meeting. And we will avoid long delays in the meeting -- those often
arise if someone describes the recent happenings on a topic directly in
the meeting while all the others have to wait for his slow typing...

The schedule page in the wiki has more details on the individual topics;
see http://www.fedoraproject.org/wiki/Extras/Schedule
The individual pages specific to the topics are linked from there. The
same as above holds true: if you name is somewhere on the schedule page
in the wiki please update the status in the wiki ahead of the meeting.

Ohh, and please update it also directly after the meeting so it's update
and prepared for next weeks meeting :-)

Hint: If you want to know what FESCo is doing simply subscribe in the
wiki to "Extras/Schedul.*" and you'll get mails if something changes in
that areas of the wiki. That should give you a good idea of FESCo's work.
