Extras only, most often on the heels of a core rebuild for a technical reason. Usually extended to all of Extras for non-technical reasons. I'd rather not continue that pain through the entire combined repo.

+1, but we need to work out another solution to check if maintainers are
still around and *active* for real.

Check whether their certs have expired (plus adequate grace period). If renewing every 12 months isn't interesting enough, that number can be changed.
