It would be good to white-list some of these in your script.  For
instance, compat-$name packages with often have symbols that conflict
with $name packages, so those checks should be avoided.  Also things
like the ncurses lib${name} and lib${name}w libraries -- you aren't
expected to link to both of them, only one at a time.
