The default MTA should be included in Core, and the others should be in Extras unless they provide functionality which isn't available from the default MTA. Actually, the default probably ought to be Exim -- Debian and Ubuntu have got this right. And even if Exim isn't the default, it should be in Core -- it provides a lot of functionality that neither postfix nor sendmail can manage. But that's a separate question -- let's start by at least being consistent. -- dwmw2
