Some examples of what are general time lines of EOL in fedora and pointing some bugs may also help understanding the context more.

One difference between Fedora and the kernel is that package
maintainers may not be experts in the code itself, and so may not be in
a good position to resolve issues directly. Ideally, they'd help direct
bug reporters to the right place to get the issue addressed (or even
act as a go-between), but as you've said, with more users than
developers the number of reports can be overwhelming....
