OK, I'd like to suggest adding something like this to the sidebar on the home page, either right above or right below the News section:
agreed, except that that I would place it between "News" and "Project Support".
While we're at suggestione: I suggest to add a comment to the fl default yum.conf that "strongly suggests" to subscribe to fl-announce so that no one realizes one exploit too late that her platform isn't supported any longer.
