Kernel package status

Hi,

The latest kernel package has been up for QA for a couple of days - this
fixes a whopping 16 separate issues compared to the previous FL update.
It would be really excellent to get this released ASAP to stop it
snowballing - no doubt there will be further kernel issues discovered
and announced in the coming months, and some of these issues are now
already three months old!

There has been a fair amount of QA on intermediate versions so I would
say that we are almost in a position to push to updates-testing. I've
had all the versions I've built work without problem on my workstation
here.

If we could get one more QA tester for the current kernel revision
(2.4.20-34.x) I think we'll be there. Jesse, could I ask you to push
this package up the priority list please - it would be great to get
updates-testing packages out by the end of the week.

The bugzilla entry is

Thanks,

Dominic.
