End-user documentation for 7.x

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi folks,

I've written end-user documentation for users of Red Hat Linux 7.x -
please review it and send feedback to me or to the list for discussion:

http://jonaspasche.de/fedoralegacy/enduser-rh7x.html

The page reflects the fact that yum hasn't been a part of 7.x, and it
shows a straightforward way to use Fedora Legacy on without explaining
too much details that aren't needed for basic usage.

If discussion of this page is finished, I'll rework it for 8.0
(including information on How to upgrade RPM and How to check if yum is
already installed).

When both docs are ready and published, I'd suggest to put a link to
that page on the "Download" page as many people simply try to skip the
docs and go directly to the downloads, which isn't appropriate here.

Jonas
