But I like having the mirror page separate, if for no other > reason than to make it easier to update/automate/etc. The current "mirror list" files are special to apt, and are used when apt is ran for the first time to get a list of mirrors the user can interactively choose from. The future mirror list will be a lot less "sparse" and "cryptic" and will have full information like location, bandwidth, hours of operation (if not 24/7) and example yum/apt conf entries. The current files MUST stay the same way they are/were as they are really behind the scenes apt config files. -- Jesse Keating RHCE (geek.j2solutions.net) Fedora Legacy Team (www.fedoralegacy.org) Mondo DevTeam (www.mondorescue.org) GPG Public Key (geek.j2solutions.net/jkeating.j2solutions.pub) Was I helpful?
