OpenJDK issue

Hi all,

I have a Fedora 10 install on my computer and I would like to get rid of OpenJDK (because it's much slower then Sun's JDK and the update packages are rarely coming out). My main problem is that I am using maven build tools which has a depend to OpenJDK (even if I don't use with it, I changed every symlink referring to OpenJDK in /usr/lib/jvm and /usr/java). So is there a way to remove completely OpenJDK without having removed maven (and ant, eclipse) tools. So can these java project depend on besides OpenJDK, for example on Sun's JDK too (so when I want to install e.g. maven next time can I choose between them?)?
Thanks.

Best regards,
Peter Major
