From: pbrobinson on gitlab.com https://gitlab.com/cki-project/kernel-ark/-/merge_requests/2638#note_1509313925 That is because by default if there's no default specified for the Kconfig it's default=n and with common/generic/CONFIG_HSA_AMD_SVM =y which has a "depends on: CONFIG_HSA_AMD && CONFIG_DEVICE_PRIVATE" it will turn it on which is the oppose of what the config states because it's undefined. If you "sed -i 's/# CONFIG_DEVICE_PRIVATE is not set/CONFIG_DEVICE_PRIVATE=y/g' redhat/configs/common/generic/arm/aarch64/CONFIG_DEVICE_PRIVATE" like Fedora's aarch64 or common x86/powerpc you will find that it works just fine. _______________________________________________ kernel mailing list -- kernel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to kernel-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/kernel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
