Well, as a mirror admin, I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. :)

That said, we still control the master endpoint, and there *are* some
fallback scenarios, just way more expensive and difficult to deal
with. I hope we don't have to go there, I enjoy the generosity of our
mirror network and I'm glad to contribute to the project myself in
this manner, too.
