Well, I actually used it for a few months. But since I had to edit the
kernel.spec anyway (ie, add a local ID, update the changelog, etc.) I
just added a "--without patches" switch to the kernel.spec in my local
copy of the Fedora kernel.git repo.

So I wouldn't mind dropping the vanilla stuff, as long as it remains
possible (ie, without having to jump through hoops) to rebuilt locally
while using only vanilla sources.
