I am not judging. Just be aware that what you are doing is extremely 
discouraged and in general not supported.

You can also try terminal multiplexers like tmux or screen.

So it's not a konsole issue ;-)

Looks like your session is borked somehow and not honoring your  root's 
default session. You'll have to figure out what is making that happen.

not sure I follow. Are those different VMs? all installations on the same hard 
disk? do they share home folders?
