Syam.

That is exactly what I am trying to do.  I click on the menu icon, then select Internet so that I can see Chrome or another application.  Highlight the application and then right click.  On the right click, there is a pause, then a blackscreen and plasmashell restarts.

This is a updated install  that I installed with:
sudo dnf groupinstall "KDE Plasma Workspaces"

Patrick - this is with X11 (Running with Nvidia drivers w/4 screens attached)

Can you please elaborate on "I select the application that I want to add
and right click"? From where did you select and right-click the
application? I just tried to right click an application item from the
standard application launcher menu (from the kickoff menu button on the
left corner of the panel), and then selected 'add to panel (widget)' and
that created an icon on the panel for the application. So things seem to
work fine on my machine.

Thanks,

Syam
