I know that the available sessions for sddm are kept in

/usr/share/xsessions and /usr/share/wayland-sessions

What I can't find, and don't recall, is where does sddm get the information on which session a user
last used.

It doesn't seem to be in a user's directory.  So, where is it?

/var/lib/sddm/state.conf

Thanks.  However, it seems that unlike what gdm does sdm can only recall the last session used.  While
gdm recalls the last session on a per-user basic.

When using sddm in a multiple user and multiple DE environment this cases a bit of aggravation if a
user forgets to check the selected DE before logging in.

Any thoughts about getting sddm to keep per-user DE history?
