Performance-wise the RX 470 and RX 570 are more of a match, but both quite a bit dearer (and the older one harder to get hold off). Really in Linux I just need it for desktop work (and possibly CUDA, but this is my home system), it's games in Windows that I'm after the performance for. Useful to have an update on the driver situation, I remember when the ATI driver was the hard one to get working.
