i recetly made the big mistake opening the GNOME/GTK settings because
both applications are using a different mouse cursor than the rest of
the system
well, that don't matter any longer - after that font-aliasing in both
applications is completly gone making menus completly unreadable
intersing is that don't affect other GTK applications like ZendStuiod
(Eclipse) or GNOME
what is going on here and how many decades does it take such BAISC
thinhs working on a Linux desktop while teh developer community has
nothing better to do then re-invent wheels every few years?

i restored these files wich has a timestamp from today in the running
session with no change (the bad change did not need a logout/login, just
close thunderbird and start it again)
