This sounds like:
https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-60565
but that is supposed to be already fixed in the 5.9.0 release that I 
packaged. So this is very strange.

(By the way, Bodhi feedback and/or Bugzilla are better places to report such 
showstoppers than a mailing list thread that I may or may not happen to read 
in time.)
