Getting rid of un-needed GNOME files

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I noticed this AM that each time I rebooted my system I would be
zombies from tracker.  I created a bug here:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1432599

I really didn't have a clue as to what it was for anyway, and apparently it is used
by GNOME and not needed/used if you are running KDE - so I deleted it.
If that was a wrong assumption on my part, please advise.

Which brings me to my question... does anyone have a list of stuff that is
unneeded by KDE but installed by default by Fedora Workstation?

It's not a matter of filespace (or even processing power I suppose in most cases).  What I'm
concerned about is that if something has a bug and I start investigating and spinning my wheels and find that I don't use or even need the package in the first place - like tracker.
