The first time I saw that was two weeks ago.

Actually we can ask dnf when a transaction was aborted:

# dnf history | grep '\*\*'
   156 | upgrade                | 2016-08-21 16:44 | E, I, U        |  144 **
   152 | upgrade                | 2016-08-11 09:43 | I, U           |  122 **
   122 | upgrade                | 2016-07-22 09:42 | I, U           |   25 **
    38 | upgrade --refresh      | 2016-05-31 11:11 | Update         |   17 **
