Indeed... it's been somewhat amusing, but in reality rather disappointing to watch people twist themselves in pretzels over this.  It's really a very 
obvious decision.  You look at the mission statement, examine qupzilla - deterine is is functional and that is it.  Instead what has happened
is that people are making the decision based upon their personal preference and then try to manufacture a justification - qupzilla is too hard
for neophyte users, qupzilla doesn't support extension xyz, qupzilla doesn't have backing from a large corporation, etc. etc.  That is
all irrelevant.
