If I click an icon to start an application, I get a spinning window thing in the KDE panel that never goes away :-( This uses a significant amount of CPU time: $ ps -ef | grep /usr/bin/plasmashell ; sleep 60 ; ps -ef | grep /usr/bin/plasmashell patman 4086 3941 29 07:45 ? 00:00:21 /usr/bin/plasmashell --shut-up patman 4086 3941 28 07:45 ? 00:00:37 /usr/bin/plasmashell --shut-up I have to kill plasmashell and restart it to "fix" the problem, and I've been avoiding it by starting applications via the command line. I removed my .kde (well, mv-ed it), and restarted with no change in behavior. I have plasma-workspace-5.6.3-2.fc23.x86_64 installed. This has been happening for a while, it's not a new issue for me. I'm running in a VMWare instance (on a Mac OS X host). My searches haven't found anything similar. Any suggestions?
